Sadhbha Cockburn. 'Yoke (the weight of the world), 2025. Steel mill ball found on Wiradjuri land at the former Portland cement quarry, NSW. Hung with hand-spun, two-ply flax linen and a steel nail, found on Yuin country at 'Ford's farm' (now a pile of disused tin roofing) in the Mimosa Rocks National Park.
Sadhbha Cockburn. 'Cuckoo', 2025. Steel mill ball with found bowl nest (woven by birds from polyester and twigs). Mill ball found on Wiradjuri country at the former Portland cement quarry. Nest found on Cadigal and Wangal country while walking on my commute. Approximately 4 x 5 x 5cm.
